Stainless steel temperature-control jacket for 250 ml DWK/DURAN laboratory bottle

The SON0500012 is part of the innovative modular SON05000 temperature-control system for flexible and controlled temperature regulation of laboratory and reaction vessels.

The temperature-control jacket is designed for a 250 ml DWK/DURAN laboratory bottle. The double-walled jacket made of V2A stainless steel, material 1.4301, enables temperature control in the range of -20 to +200 °C when used in combination with an external circulating thermostat.

The temperature-control fluid is circulated through the double-walled jacket. The sample and the temperature-control medium do not come into direct contact with each other.

Thanks to the open bottom, the temperature-control jacket can be used on a magnetic stirrer. Simultaneous mixing of the sample can support a more uniform temperature distribution within the vessel.

The temperature-control jacket is equipped as standard with two fixed hose connectors / hose barbs Ø 12 mm. Threaded connections are optionally available.

Additional insulation is particularly recommended for temperatures below 15 °C or above 50 °C and reduces heat exchange and condensation.

The temperature-controlled bottom provides additional temperature control of the vessel from below. Use on a magnetic stirrer remains possible. Without a vessel inserted, the version with a temperature-controlled bottom can also be used as a compact temperature-control bath.

Additional insulation and the temperature-controlled bottom cannot be retrofitted and must be ordered together with the temperature-control jacket.

Required for operation

A suitable external circulating thermostat with an appropriate hose set is required for temperature control. For applications requiring simultaneous mixing, a magnetic stirrer can also be used.

Note on dimensions

The stated dimensions are approximate values. Dimensional tolerances of the laboratory bottles used are taken into account in the design. The final fit will be checked at the time of ordering based on the intended vessel or the current vessel drawing.
